I started writing on a forum, except I didn't have enough space

Hello hello,

After a little chat with Hippo, I thought I'd update you on where I stand.

I've been working like a pig for the past few months to bring out a multi-vendor platform (for dokan geeks+woocommerce booking+personal plugins for certain needs).

So our MVP is finally ready, and we've started the second phase, which is onboarding sellers onto our platform. We're in the process of testing and continuous improvement.

For the time being, it's a bit slow, because we're taking the time to do things by hand, so that we can anticipate problems and ensure quality customer service for everyone.

As there are two of us, she's mainly in charge of onboarding and I'm in charge of customer service. This allows me to iron out any little bugs.

I do a few on-boarding calls anyway, to understand the process, see what works and work on my arguments.

Today, my 3 main arguments are:

As a reminder:

Target Audience Vendeur: Spiritual practitioners

Target Audience: Travelers to Argentina

The first is our passion for our project, where I share my passion for travel, the introspection that travel provides to elevate our views on things.

The second is the fact that I'm also a therapist and I accompany a lot of people, and in fact I connect with practitioners by doing practice exchanges, it takes time but I think it's important that the first sellers know us well personally because they'll be the first to market to us too.

The third is that, economically speaking, we arrange for buyers to pay in dollars at a price that is cheaper than in the EU/US, and therefore profitable for travelers and practitioners alike, because getting paid in dollars here is a bit like getting paid in gold nuggets in Europe.

We've got a mini landing page, or at least I realize it's a landing page as I write it, and I think I need to improve it a lot. But it looks like this:

(This is an automatic translation, I've got other things to do at the moment ahah) https://wandaura.com/wandaura-presentation/

(While opening I realize that the design screwed up on a plugin update so I'll go fix that afterwards)

Then on the way there's another page where they can add a product. So we've done a whole bunch of written tutorials, with a page that groups everything in order. There's also a reminder in the main menu and on the tab bar. And that's not counting the footer menus, which nobody usually looks at ahah.
For now, we've put it on the page: https://wandaura.com/faq/

Despite the very well-done tutorials, some people don't necessarily make the effort to follow them. They sign up, fill in the minimum information and publish their products.

Except that we have a manual verification process, where we check each product, making sure that people have put the products in the way they intended.

And I have to admit that, frankly, the process is a pain to do, because it's not intuitive (but that's the MVP and the tech tools we use).

To improve this, I thought I'd set up example services (templates) for each seller. In other words, each time a new seller registers on our platform, he'll find three products in draft mode in his backend (the part of his site that people don't see) that he can reuse.

That way, the preconfigurations are already done, and by default the practitioner's availability won't be from midnight to 11pm. (and lots of other little things like that).

Of course, the functionality wasn't available on Dokan, so I had to do it by hand. I now have a plugin in my name, which will automatically deposit 3 products with each new seller who registers.

  • An example of service
  • An example of a multi-day ceremony
  • An example of a day's activity

This is just one example of the hundreds of things I have to manage technically to improve user comfort and experience.

From the moment I had one person sign up quickly and tell me she was going to do it again with the tuto and I could tell it was bugging her. I figured she wouldn't be the only one, so I took direct action.

I could write for hours on end about this platform on which I spend and have spent close to a thousand hours if not more. But that's for another time.
